To better understand the current Certification workload and output, Certification Oversight has reviewed data from 2023 and 2024 to see how efficient our reviewers are working, as well as see if we can identify any trends in our applying officials.

- 63 Officials applied for Certification in 2023
- By Levels
- Level 1: 41 applicants
- Level 2: 12 applicants
- Level 3: 10 applicants (includes Recertifications)
- By Officiating Type
- 26 Non-Skates Officials (41%)
- 37 On-Skates Officials (59%)
- Awarded Level
- 50 Received same level applied for (79%)
- 2 Received higher level (3%)
- 11 Received lower level (17%)
2024 Certification Stats
- 105 Officials applied for Certification in 2024
- By Levels
- Level 1: 60 applicants
- Level 2: 16 applicants
- Level 3: 29 applicants (includes Recertifications)
- By Officiating Type
- 50 Non-Skates Officials (48%)
- 55 On-Skates Officials (52%
- Awarded Level
- 84 Received same level applied for (80%)
- 1 Received higher level (1%)
- 20 Received lower level (19%)
- Of these, 7 were officials applying for “skipped” levels, such as an uncertified official applying for Level 2 or 3
