We’ve enabled the platform “Chat” functionality and created channels for each Region. Chat is only available to authenticated users and not visible to anonymous / public.
The Regional Coordinators wanted a more informal discussion method to contact and discuss among the league representatives within their regions. Rather than turn to either non-WFTDA resources, Google Groups, or Yet Another Communication Platform where we would need to manage and synchronize access, this lets us keep these discussions internal and more easily manage access.
You can find links to each Region’s Chat channel at the bottom of the left Navbar, or by opening Chat with the text bubble in the upper right. Representatives will need to join the appropriate channel for themselves (auto-adding users would have put everyone in every channel).
We’ve also left a “General” channel open. If anyone sees a need for another Channel, let me know either directly (which… you can DM me now using Chat 
) or reply here.
